If you do not have a computer at hand but would still like to use iTunes to download songs on the iPhone, I suggest you access the iTunes Store directly from your iPhone.
To be able to download songs on the iPhone with the iTunes Store, the first steps you need to perform are to access the home screen of your iPhone, to look for the icon for the iTunes Store app and to press on it.
